Vonkevia is a Visual Artist, Educator, and Creative Director. For Miami Youth Garden, Inc. she has served as a teacher for the arts, fashion consultant for the End-of-Summer Gala, and currently, Executive Director. She joined Miami Youth Garden during her junior year in high school and was among the youth at Church of the Open Door who were involved in the conception and creation of the organization and the first community garden planted on the church’s property. As Executive Director she has overseen the rapid growth of the program from one to four sites at the conclusion of 2022.
She’s a graduate of Florida Memorial University.
