Miami Youth Garden continues its Seed to Harvest Summer Program which reflects our focus on environmental leadership as well as reclaiming our youth.  Our summer camps located at community-based Family Life Centers have trained hundreds of young children and teens in leadership principles through an urban gardening curriculum and many typical summer camp activities.  Our program provides students with hands-on experiences and skills that improve their future health and their family’s food insecurity.  We believe garden education goes far in helping the next generation understand and respect the importance of a healthy and sustainable food system.  Each year we host an End-of-Summer Showcase and Gala that affords our campers the opportunity to display their artistic work, show off their gardening prowess, and demonstrate their achievements in academics.  Parents and community supporters are invited for an evening of entertainment and dining to culminate a wonderful summer of social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
