About us
The Innovative Miami Youth Garden, Inc. (MyG)
It is the umbrella program for the MyG Summer Leadership Programs that focus on gaining back the attention of our youth who are at risk for gang recruitment, drug use, and falling victim to the well-known cycles of living in underserved and low socioeconomic status neighborhoods.
The Seed-to-Harvest (STH) curriculum utilized at all program sites features a live, community garden classroom and evidence-based leadership development principles. Beyond gardening, the program incorporates STEAM activities into a faith-based curriculum that enhances student confidence, increases academic achievement, and offers opportunities to increase family food security, better food choices and improved nutrition.

MISSION
To promote youth leadership development in underserved regions of our community by sponsoring quality summer camp and afterschool services. We are engaged in teaching youth the value of deferred gratification and principle-centered leadership by assisting in the clarification of their life’s purpose.
VISION
Miami Youth Garden’s innovative programs strive to create healthy youth leaders who know who they are, what they stand for, and how to make their personal visions and missions come to fruition with hard work and focus.
